Blackened Haddock - Fish Taco

Fish Tacos! I could eat these any day of the week. They are so simple and so delicious they make hectic dinners a pure pleasure. Serve on a busy winter night with family or at a laid back summer patio event. They most definitely will be a crowd pleasing favourite.

Essential Ingredients  -  Blackened Haddock


1/2 tsp cumin
1/2 tsp coriander
1/2 tsp paprika
1 tsp chilli powder
1 1/2 tsp oregano
1/2 tsp thyme
1 tsp freshly ground white pepper

6-8 store bought or homemade corn tortillas

2 tbsp olive oil

2 haddock fillets 4-6 ounces per person

1/2 tsp freshly squeezed lime juice


Turn oven to 300 F. Wrap tortillas tightly in foil and warm in oven while fish is being prepared.

In a small bowl combine all spices.

Rinse and quarter haddock into pieces, pat dry. Place fish in a bowl and coat with olive oil. Sprinkle with spice mixture and gently combine to coat the fish. Let fish marinate for 20 minutes.

Heat a large frying pan place fish and marinade into pan and cook fish 3-4 minutes per side until fish is flaky. With a wooden spoon break fish into bite size chunks coating it with the marinade in the pan. Drizzle with lime juice. Set Aside.

Place fish mixture on tortilla, add fresh Cilantro & Lime Slaw and drizzle with Avocado Cream. Wrap and serve.
